Own the readiness, reliability and release flow of enterprise application environments across development, testing/staging and production.
- Lead environment planning, provisioning and lifecycle management from development through staging to production, keeping every stage consistent and release-ready
- Run virtualised application environments on Citrix Hypervisor and Microsoft Azure
- Run deployment and release workflows end to end, coordinating development, QA, infrastructure and support teams so changes reach production safely
- Apply ITIL change, incident and release management to keep production stable, with clear ownership and escalation paths
- Lead triage of environment and production incidents: isolate root causes, coordinate fixes across teams and drive issues to resolution
Application DeveloperNov 2020 – Present
Build and support the client’s geographic information system (GIS) platform end to end, from backend data to the applications on top.
- Develop and maintain GIS applications on GE Smallworld, and support the gradual transition to Esri ArcGIS
- Build frontend application UIs and client-facing features using C#, alongside supporting .NET backend components and services
- Write and optimize SQL queries to maintain data flow, schema alignment, and functionality between application layers and underlying databases
- Raise release quality through unit testing, defect investigation and root-cause analysis, catching regressions before they reach production
- Own deployment planning, release activities and production support, and partner with analysts, testers and project leads to ship on schedule
